Are you new to Japan? New to Japanese cooking? Or perhaps you just haven’t had the courage to buy/use Japanese condiments? Come to our workshop and learn about soy sauce, ponzu, mirin, the different kinds of sea vegetables – nori, kombu, hijiki, and of course umeboshi!! We will talk about how to use/cook with them, and where/which to buy.
All of the condiments we will introduce in the workshop will be CHEMICAL-FREE, and VEGAN. You will get a chance to taste each of the condiments in their raw form. After the workshop, you can enjoy a simple lunch of miso soup and onigiri made with the above ingredients so you can also taste them in their cooked form.
