About the workshops

Q: When is your next workshop?

A: We run two cooking classes (hands-on) every month: a men-only class on the last Friday of every month and a Saturday class where we visit a different country’s cuisine every month. We also run workshops here and there so please refer to our “HOME” page for the upcoming classes. Also, depending on requests or other special occasions we may hold extra classes/workshops. Q: How do I book a spot?

A: You can book online by making a payment through Paypal. You can find the button on each workshop’s page. 
If you do not have Paypal, you can contact us directly by email to reserve your spot. Please note that you must confirm payment to guarantee your spot. Please be aware that just pressing “going” on the Facebook event page without payment confirmation won’t guarantee you a spot.

Q: Where do the workshops take place?

A: The workshops take place in a rental kitchen around central Yokohama. Usually one or two stops from Yokohama Station. The location depends on the workshop date and number of participants. Check on each workshop’s page for the specific location. Most often, the workshops are held in the Kanagawa Chiku-Center (community center), 5 minute walk from JR Higashi-Kanagawa Station.

Q: What if I want to cancel an already booked workshop spot?

A: Please contact us directly by email. Please note that cancellations within 48 hours of the workshop will not be refunded since our instructors have to buy ingredients and prepare accordingly. Cancellations done prior to the 48-hour deadline will be refunded in full.

Q: Can I get a refund if I didn’t go to the workshop/cooking class?

A: If you didn’t show up to the class, without a cancellation notice, you will not be refunded. You can get a refund ONLY if you cancel within 48 hours before the workshop. Anytime after that, the ingredients are already bought so we can’t refund you.

Q: What if I have food allergies? Can I still participate in the workshops/cooking classes?

A: Please make sure you contact us at least 72 hours in advance so we can alter the ingredients and accommodate your allergy or intolerance. Make sure you specify clearly whether it is a life-threatening allergy or simply an intolerance. We will do our best to include you.

About payment

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: At the moment we accept payment through Paypal or bank transfer only. You can easily make a payment with your credit card through Paypal if you have an account. If you do not have a Paypal account, please contact us and we will send you the bank details so you can make a wire transfer through your bank.

Q: When will my card be charged?

A: Your credit card will most likely be charged at the moment of purchase. However, that will depend on your credit card company.

Q: How do I unsubscribe from the Nuh-rish newsletter?

A: You can unsubscribe from the newsletter by clicking on the “unsubscribe” button at the bottom of each newsletter.
