In India it is believed that food is medicine and south Indian cuisine is one of the oldest cuisines in the world which uses therapeutic ingredients in everyday cooking. With its staple being rice, it is consumed in different forms such as dosa, puttu, appam, idli and often a meal is incomplete without them.
